Cotton yoga rugs have been used for centuries for Hatha Yoga and are considered to be the first mats ever used for Yoga practice in Mysore, India. We recommend lightly misting the entire rug surface before laying on a wood floor to reduce slipping, or the rug can be used on top of your favorite yoga mat for extra padding and to keep the rug firmly in place. Each rug is 72'' long by 24'' wide, the size of a standard yoga mat. We recommend you wash your rug in cold water and hang it to dry. Please do NOT put it in the dryer, as the heat of the dryer will cause the rug to shrink. Your rug may tighten up after air drying but won't shrink. It will loosen again with repeated use.
